Description
PINC INC was a Japanese four-piece band formed in 2008 and active until 2009, with vocalist Tsubaki Aoi as its central figure. The group also included guitarist Seisuke Karita, bassist Katsuki Okuno, and drummer Yusuke Saito, all of whom had prior experience as support musicians for other artists. The band was signed to the GIZA studio label under the Being group. Their musical identity was a blend of J-pop and punk rock, characterized by Tsubaki Aoi's clear high-toned vocals and a sound that incorporated elements of electro, emo, and folk music, all delivered with a bright, high-energy pop punk sensibility.

PINC INC is best known in the context of anime for their song So faraway, which served as the second opening theme for the 2008 television anime adaptation of Golgo 13. This single was released on October 29, 2008. For this track, the lyrics were written by Tsubaki Aoi, the music was composed by Aika Ohno, and the arrangement was handled by Shibuto Morishita. The single also included the B-side track Hane no Nai Watashi ni Te o Sasashinobete Kureta Kimi wa Kami no You. So faraway was featured as the opening theme for the second cour of the series, beginning with episode 26.

Beyond their anime work, the band released three other singles prior to So faraway. Their debut single, Dangerous Love, was used as a theme song for the NHK drama Wildlife: Kyoukai Naki Juuishidan R.E.D. Other singles like Kimi ni HUG Sareteitai and Shuumatsu Dai Kirai were featured as theme songs for various television programs. The band compiled their work into a single album, Motto Kimi-iro ni Somaritai, released on January 28, 2009. This album included all four of their single title tracks alongside eight other songs.

Throughout their brief career, PINC INC collaborated with notable figures in the Japanese music industry. Composer Aika Ohno and arranger and guitarist Shibuto Morishita were frequent collaborators who contributed to the band's sound. Despite a rapid release schedule that saw four singles in just seven months and a performance at a major university festival, the band announced the end of their activities on their official website in 2009, marking a short but focused presence on the music scene.
