Kana Yazumi is a Japanese singer-songwriter born on August 13, 1985, in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture. She launched her career in 2006 with the release of her debut single, Fall, on May 26. Her work is most prominently connected to anime and video game soundtracks from the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Yazumi is best known for her single Be Strong, which was released on February 7, 2007. The song served as the first opening theme song for the anime series KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple, also known as Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi, covering episodes one through twenty-five. The track was also used as the ending theme for the series fiftieth and final episode.

In addition to her work in anime, Yazumis music has been featured in several video game projects. Her single Happiness, released on November 4, 2009, was used as the theme song for the Nintendo DS game Rune Factory 3. The single achieved a rank of number six on the Oricon independent charts.
