Yusuke Shirai is a Japanese music artist and voice actor whose singing career is deeply integrated with his roles in anime and multimedia franchises. His musical contributions are primarily released as character songs, where he performs in the voice of the characters he portrays, as well as theme songs for the anime in which he appears.

Shirai's most prominent musical work comes from long-running franchise series. He is a regular performer in the Idolish7 franchise, providing the singing voice for the character Yamato Nikaido. Through this role, he has performed numerous songs, including ALL ABOARD, Chameleon, Unfoggy Sight, My Friend, Love two you, and Wonderful Octave -Yamato version-. He is also deeply involved in the Idolmaster SideM franchise as the character Haruna Wakasato, a member of the unit High×Joker. With this unit, which includes voice actors Shoya Chiba, Takuma Nagatsuka, Hiroshi Watanabe, and Sho Nogami, he has performed songs such as Kisekiteki STARRY-TUNE!!!!! and the solo track Like a Rolling Donuts!!, featured on the 49 ELEMENTS -01 High×Joker album released in July 2022. He previously performed theme songs for the Idolmaster SideM anime, including the opening theme Reason!! and the ending theme DRIVE A LIVE.

Beyond these major franchises, Shirai has contributed to a variety of anime theme songs. For the anime Sasaki and Miyano, he performed the ending theme Ichigo Sunset as a duet with co-star Soma Saito, who plays opposite his character Shumei Sasaki. The single was released in February 2022 with music arranged by Hinano Tanaka and lyrics by Yuriko Mori. In 2020, he performed the ending theme Up to Date for the anime Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?, singing as his character Tora Kiso. That same year, he also provided the voice and presumably vocal performance for the character Yuta Matsukaze in the surfing anime WAVE!! Surfing Yappe!!. He was a member of the eight-person group Naminori Boys, which performed the opening theme Shigeki Surfer Boy! and the ending theme One more chance, One Ocean for the series. In 2018, he performed the insert song Star☆★Light for the anime The Thousand Noble Musketeers.

In a significant step for his solo career, Shirai released an anniversary album titled 11 ELEVEN in September 2022. This release marked his first original songs as a solo artist, including the lead track Only My Story, as well as Youthful Graffiti and Tsubame to kaze. The album was designed to celebrate his career, blending these new musical tracks with radio drama-style stories featuring guest appearances from fellow voice actors. This release shows his development from performing character-based songs to establishing his own musical identity as a recording artist.
