The name Knight Sabers is associated with two distinct music entities: a fictional in-universe band from the classic cyberpunk anime series Bubblegum Crisis, and a modern electronic music project that adopted the name as a tribute.

Within the original anime franchise, the Knight Sabers are the protagonist group of mercenaries, and the name was used for performances of insert songs and theme music. The most notable credit is for the ending theme of the third episode of the OVA series Bubblegum Crash, the 1991 sequel to Bubblegum Crisis. The song is titled Over the Pressure - Toki o Koete (OVER THE PRESSURE~時を越えて). It serves as the third ending theme for Bubblegum Crash, with the credit reading performed by The Knight Sabers. The song was composed and arranged by Haward Killy. For the same series, the opening theme is Hatenai Tabi: Hajimari no Toki (果てない旅 ~始まりの時) and the first two ending themes are Cool Eyes and Saigo Ni..., all performed by Ryoko Tachikawa, who also voices the character Priss Asagiri.

In 2019, they released the End Game EP on digital, limited edition cassette, and later on vinyl. The tracklist includes Closer, Silent Night, In The Dark, End Game, Victory, and Wasurenaide. The EP Ephemeral Love was released in 2020, featuring guest vocalist Nina Pulimood on the title track. Other releases include the single Victory and a remix of a track titled Odyssee 2077. Artwork and design for these releases is frequently provided by an artist named Mizucat. The modern Knight Sabers is an independent project, with releases often self-published or on small labels.
