Ippo Hiura is a Japanese vocalist and songwriter, born on September 9, 1953. He is primarily recognized for his work as a theme song performer for anime television series in the early 1980s.
Hiura is most notably credited for his work on the 1981 mecha series Rokushin Gattai GodMars. He performed both the opening theme, Uchuu no Ouja! GodMars, and the first ending theme, Ai no Kinjitou. The single for these songs was released in 1981 under the King record label, with music composed by Yuichiro Oda, lyrics by Tokuko Miura and Yuichiro Oda, and arrangement by Kei Wakakusa.
Following his work on GodMars, Hiura contributed several songs to the 1983 series Ginga Shippuu Sasuraiger. He performed the series opening theme, Ginga Shippuu Sasuraiger, as well as the ending themes Happy Song and Maybe Baby. In addition to the opening and ending themes, his vocal work on the Sasuraiger soundtrack includes the insert songs Koibito-tachi no Hoshi Matsuri: Planets-Carnival for Lovers, Long Good-Night, Planets Bay Road, and Try! Try! Try!.
