Ayaka Shimizu is a Japanese voice actress born on December 19, 1987, in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She stands 158cm tall and has A-type blood. Shimizu is a graduate of the Amusement Media School in Osaka. Her career in the voice acting industry began in 2008. She was inspired to pursue this path after learning that the voices of Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service and Conan Edogawa from Case Closed were both performed by the same voice actor, Minami Takayama.

Shimizu was formerly affiliated with the talent agency Air Agency. On December 31, 2020, she left Air Agency and subsequently transferred to Mausu Promotion, where she has been affiliated since January 1, 2021.

Throughout her career, Shimizu has voiced a wide variety of characters in numerous anime television series and films. She has taken on several notable roles, including Yuria in The Magnificent KOTOBUKI and its film compilation, Misa Saotome in Val x Love, and Arashi Waraino in Maesetsu! Opening Act. In the series DOGEZA: I Tried Asking While Kowtowing, she provided the voices for both Akari Osaka and Tama Kyan. Her work in the High School Fleet franchise includes the roles of Reo Wakasa and Yui Fujita across the television series and film.

Other significant roles include Mari Itō in Kaitō Queen wa Circus ga Osuki (Mirage Queen Prefers Circus), Sumire Usuta in the Tokyo 7th Sisters project, and the character Bridge in the animated series Cannon Busters. Her filmography also features roles in popular series such as High School Fleet, The Magnificent KOTOBUKI, My Dress-Up Darling, and Oshi no Ko, among many others. Beyond anime, Shimizu has also contributed her voice to video games, including the role of Sumire Usuta in the Tokyo 7th Sisters game.
